CHERRY, Japan-5

Japanese cherry: Japan is very famous for the Cherry Blossom Festivals that are held during the spring season. The main highlights of the Japanese cherry blossom festivals are folk music, dance programs, concerts, rides, games, kimono shows, flower displays, parades, beauty pageants, religious ceremonies and many more.
This season in Japan marks the return of fresh cherry blossom flowers that spread far across like a beautiful velvet sheet. The best time to see the full bloom cherry blossoms is during the first week of April. During this time the festival is held at two famous locations namely the Ueno Park and Shinjukugyoen.
'Hana-mi' which means 'flower-watching' is an interesting part of the cherry blossom festival. Japanese consider Hana- mi to be a refreshing sport. They just love to visit the Sakura or the cherry trees and picnic beneath the beautiful sweet-smelling, shady groves. The streets beside the Sakura parks and those lined by the Sakura trees have stalls that sell a wide variety of traditional foods like 'yaki-soba', 'tako-yaki' and so on.

MOUNT FUJI, Japan-3

MOUNT FUJI: Mount Fuji's exceptionally symmetrical cone is a well-known symbol of Japan and it is frequently depicted in art and photographs, as well as visited by sightseers and climbers.
Mt. Fuji stands at 3,776 m (12,388 ft) high and is surrounded by five lakes: Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Yamanaka, Lake Sai, Lake Motosu and Lake Shoji. They, and nearby Lake Ashi, provide excellent views of the mountain. It is part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. It is also a stratovolcano. The climate is very cold due to the altitude and the cone is covered by snow for several months of the year. The lowest recorded temperature is −38.0 °C while on June 2008 the highest temperature was recorded at 17.8 °C.[3]
It can be seen from Yokohama, Tokyo, and sometimes as far as Chiba when the sky is clear.

ARCHITECTURE, Japan-2

Japaneese Architecture:Japanese architecture has as long a history as any other aspect of Japanese culture. Originally heavily influenced by Chinese architecture, it also develops many differences and aspects which are indigenous to Japan. Examples of traditional architecture are seen at Temples, Shinto shrines and castles in Kyoto and Nara. Some of these buildings are constructed with traditional gardens, which are influenced from Zen ideas.
Some modern architects, such as Yoshio Taniguchi and Tadao Ando are known for their amalgamation of Japanese traditional and Western architectural influences.
